Supreme Court of Canada May Hear Assisted Death Case

The Supreme Court of Canada may hear the B.C. Civil Liberties Association case to revisit their 1993 decision upholding the ruling to the criminal prohibition of assisted death. If heard, the case is likely to argue that it is a fundamental right guaranteed in section 7 of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
