Dr. Durhane has a PhD in psychology from McGill University and was professor at the University of Windsor, Canada. She is a trainer and frequent lecturer, and author of three books and many articles.

Dr. Wong-Rieger argues that rare diseases actually aren’t as rare as you may think. As a rare disorders advocate and activist, she talks about the obstacles and the future for patients including diagnosis, treatment, community, research and government support.
