Tim Linhart is an ice artist with 36 years experience working with ice as an artistic material, and the originator of the art form of Ice Music. He works with ice sculpture, architecture, and musical instrument development.
In 1998 Tim built the worlds´ first ice instrument and began his journey to develop this achievement into the art form of Ice Music. Each winter since then Tim has built an orchestra and concert hall of snow and ice and conducted Ice Music concerts in locations in the United States, Italy, and Sweden.
Tim has developed the ice violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar, banjo, mandolin, drums, xylophone, rolandophone, flutes, and pipe organ. He has designed and built 9 ice concert halls with seating from 85 to 350 people.
Tim has recorded and produced 26 CD´s of Ice Music in various musical styles including: rock, pop, country, folk, Irish, Hawaiian, jazz, gypsy swing, tango, and classical music.
Tim is an American now living with his family in Luleå Sweden.
