David Rothenberg
David Rothenberg is a philosopher and composer, famous for his musical merging of the human and the natural.
He is the author of Sudden Music, Hand’s End, Always the Mountains, and the recently published Why Birds Sing (which deals with the science and music of bird song), along with a CD of performances together with birds.
David also has six CDs out under his own name, including On the Cliffs of the Heart, named one of the top 10 recordings of the year by Jazziz Magazine. The founder of the environmental literary magazine Terra Nova, Rothenberg is also a professor of philosophy and music at the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
