lex Garden has been called “the game industry’s next Sid Meier” – high praise from former Computer Gaming World magazine Editor-in-Chief Johnny Wilson, comparing him to the gaming industry legend.

Mr. Garden began his career in the video game industry at age 15 working as a game tester for Vancouver-based Distinctive Software Inc. Over the years, he worked with some of the world’s leading developers at Electronic Arts Canada and Radical Entertainment.

In 1997 Mr. Garden founded Relic Entertainment, today one of North America’s premier game development studios on the strength of its first title, Homeworld, released in 1999. It has won more than 50 awards, and was named the Game of the Year by CNN.com, MSNBC and the world’s largest computer game magazine, PC-Gamer.

Oh, and by the way, Mr. Garden is still in his mid-20s. He was recently nominated for the Canadian Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and his business accomplishments have received coverage in The Globe and MailFinancial PostForbes Magazine, and B.C. Business, as well as on CBC Television and CNN Online.
