Terry Mosher – Can You Handle Satire?

2005, Cultural Studies, Entertainment
Presented By: Terry Mosher

Political Cartoonist Terry Mosher gives the ideacity audience a laugh. Terry’s learned over the years that a political cartoonist must be equally malicious with all subject matter. You have to be able to enjoy upsetting people, he says. Terry argues that cartoons are a reflection of society’s values. He chronicles his major cartoons of the past year and shows us an example of “sampling” which he describes as creative borrowing. Sharing ideas is a big part of cartooning, he says. Good ideas often grow from other ideas.
