Albert Schultz

The Founding Artistic Director of Toronto’s award-winning Soulpepper Theatre Company. He is an accomplished, multi-award winning, actor and director. He oversees Soulpepper’s youth outreach initiatives, and leads the Soulpepper Academy, Canada’s richest professional training program for theatre practitioners. He is also an Executive Producer of Kim’s Convenience (CBC TV). Albert has received Honorary Degrees from Queen’s and Bishop’s Universities in recognition of his contributions to Canadian Theatre. In 2013 he was appointed as a Member of the Order of Canada and in 2014 he received the National Arts Centre Award for Artistic Achievement by the Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards Foundation. In 2015 Soulpepper received the Premier’s Award for Excellence in the Arts.
